How we use the data?

We need this data to facilitate the creation of fundraising pages and the acceptance of donations via the Website. This data is also used to communicate information on transactions related to your fundraising page and to provide you with a receipt for your donation. Due to legal obligations, we must be able to send you e-mail related to transactions and it is therefore not possible to opt out of receiving such e-mails.

In addition, the data is used in accordance with Plan International Finland's register of donors, for example for donor communication, donor relationship management and marketing. We do not process the payments made via the Website ourselves. Our payment service provider Paytrail (“Payment Service Provider”) processes all payments. Only the Payment Service Provider shall have access to your credit card number. Data processed by the Payment Service Provider is subject to the Payment Service Provider’s data protection policy.

Who has access to my personal data?

Are the pages I create private?

The fundraising pages you create on the Website are not private. Fundraising campaigns created on the Website will be listed on search engines and publicly accessible. You may choose to create a fundraising page using a pseudonym, in which case your name will not be publicly displayed on the fundraising page. In this case, only the Organisation shall have access to your contact information. We may use public fundraising pages and donations for marketing purposes; for example, by sharing related information on social media and in newsletters.

Will my name be displayed if I make a donation?

When making a donation, you may choose to remain anonymous. In this case, your name will only be known to the Organisation and it will not be displayed on the fundraising page.
